Ready

I have waited for the right time to start this blog. I am not a very superstitious person, but writing about our move to New Zealand and everything that will follow would have been pretty in sane before we received our Visas necessary to enter the country.
Well, maybe not to enter but to stay and work.
I never anticipated waiting this long with our paperwork but you never know what comes in your way when you are planning to move half across the world.
So, here I am. Just weeks away from changing our lives, experiencing a once in a lifetime opportunity and to share all that with whoever is willing to read and maybe follow this blog.
I am having a strange déjà vu feeling as we quickly approach our moving date.
I have done this once, you know? Not with a kid and a husband though. Nope, just me. And my “no knowledge” of English. Yeah. The language I mean. I moved from my birthplace and childhood memories to a country I have never visited before. A culture so unfamiliar but, oh so exciting. To a city that carries the same amount of people a day than my little country. Where I was to live for no more than a year.
So, here I am today. Moving away from the place I now call my home. The country whose citizen I’ll become in just two short weeks.
I am ready though. I am so ready! The questions is: Is New Zealand ready for us?

  1. Well the very best to you. One of my best friends is from there and misses her home every single day. I'll have to point her to your site so she can follow along...
